mentioned this jeep over in Tys 4Runner thread and a couple of you asked for the long version, so here it is in its own thread. this is the 2018 Wrangler Rubicon JL i bought off jacksboroautosales.com last winter and have now run a full year of slickrock and overland trips.
specs. 2.0 turbo, 8 speed auto, front and rear lockers, electronic sway bar disconnect, 33s already on it, 52k when i bought it. one owner off a guy in texas who traded up to a Gladiator. i run it out of moab most weekends on the trails and load it up for longer overland trips into the san rafael swell.
price was 31,500. the jeep stores around salt lake were asking 40 and up on comparable Rubicons with more miles, so that spread went straight into armor and a fridge. everything intact and stock under the hood which is what i wanted for a trail rig i plan to keep and wheel hard.
i bought mine shipped since moab is a long haul from north texas. did the same thing Ty did and paid a mobile guy near the jacksboro lot 150 bucks to pull codes, check that the lockers actually engage, and crawl under it before i sent a dime. came back clean, lockers worked, frame dry.
the one honest knock, and thats the whole point of these threads, was the 33s were about done. i knew it from the photos so i negotiated a couple hundred off and put a fresh set of KO2s on it the first month. not a jeep problem, just a wear item, but im listing it so nobody thinks it rolled off the lot perfect.
